History

Virginia Beach Surgery was founded by Dr. Charles Earley in 1964. Other emeritus providers have included Drs Clarke and Morris.  Since the inception of the practice our group of university trained surgeons has been proudly providing quality general and vascular care to the population of Virginia Beach and its surrounding communities.  Our physicians are now assisted by the development of advanced midlevel providers who maintain a physical presence in the hospitals through out the day to aide in the care of our patients

Our founding members played a large role in the development of Virginia Beach General Hospital from its humble origins at the oceanfront to its current location and subsequent purchase by the Sentara system.  We continue in that strong commitment today. Multiple physicians from our group have been elected to hold high offices including President and Vice President of the Medical Staff, Dept of Surgery Chairman and numerous other important hospital committees.

Our group was also involved with the development of the Sentara Princess Anne campus, providing surgical care to the facility even before the hospital was completed. We are pleased to continue help Sentara Princess Anne Hospital meet its surgical needs
